A school library is the place which can help a student to satisfy his unquenchable thirst for knowledge. Every school has a library. It is a part and parcel of the institution. A school library is generally situated in a school campus.
It can be a separate building or an adjusted one to other building. It may be decorated in different ways. There may be several rooms in it. Two or three rooms can be used as reading rooms. Boys and girls may have separate rooms. In a school library, books in general are arranged in almiras. The number of books in a school library is not fixed. School authority collects books as per their ability. It includes many reference books on different subjects. It also contains some rare books on history and culture. Only the students can read and borrow books from a school library. Every school library has some rules and regulations. A student can borrow two or three books at a time for a week on a library card. Generally a school library is managed by a librarian. He issues cards for the students. He helps them find a book.He gives them books to read in the reading room. He issues them books to read at home. He is very helpful and co-operative to the students. He is usually a dear person to the students. A school library is really a holy place of learning for any school.
